Situated below the Eildon Hills, near Melrose in the Scottish Borders. This reservoir is home to many species of wildlife including Swans, Water-hens, Frogs, Toads, Herons, and of course fish, mostly Perch. Access is gained directly from the roadside that runs along the tree free end of the reservoir. This is the Melrose to Bowden road. Parking is available at that spot and further access to the Eildon Hills can be had from there.

The view from the top of the hills is quite stunning and extends all the way down to the Scottish/English border in the south and up to Peebles to the north.
